L’ Arca
In the Barri Gòtic, along Banys Nous and Baixada de Santa Eulàlia, there are several establishments. One of them is L’Arca, led by Nina Balmes and Carmina Pairet, the fifth generation of a line of antique dealers. But these sisters have never dedicated themselves to furniture but to textiles, they started with household clothes to end up specializing in bridal and vintage. So much so that they have become a point of reference for those who love the aesthetics of the 20s, 30s and 40s, either with originals or with quality replicas. A spectacular renovation of the space, where a stone arch from the 16th century shines and coincides with the new direction of L’ Arca.

Tvynil
Jerome “Tvinyl” Dessolier has over 30 years of experience in the music business and before opening Tvynil was with German record juggernaut Deejay.de. The Tvynil room has been customized by him, with the bright racks and garish murals reflecting his vivacious personality. The counter is tastefully put together, with two Technics placed inside a wooden table and running via a Taula 4 rotary mixer built in Barcelona that regulars take the helms of for sets several times per week.
Dessolier takes pride in providing a customized experience for each client and is able to provide recommendations based on recent purchases made by each visitor. Soulful disco, Detroit techno, US garage and minor European house distributors are all represented in the music. Although the store is not on the usual diggers’ route, if you find your way there, you’ll be joined by Lola, a chubby English bulldog owned by Dessolier.
